The Yoo for City Council conducted a poll in July 2024 which clearly shows that Grace is in a strong position to win the General Election. The main issue driving the voters is change. The voters want to change who the current council member is; they don’t want a city insider. The recent poll’s results match the results from the March Primary Election where 62% of the voters supported change – 62% voted against the appointed incumbent.

Despite being the appointed incumbent, Hutt has been unable to secure significant name recognition. Yoo’s pollster stated, “That an incumbent council member is no better than a challenger speaks volumes about Hutt’s limited success at establishing her identity with constituents.”

Baseline numbers are a statistical tie. The voters are evenly split between the two candidates:

• Yoo – 34%
• Hutt – 36%
• Undecided – 30% 

After the voters hear positive statements about both candidates, they are still split:
• Yoo – 43%
• Hutt – 42%
• Undecided – 15%

After hearing negative statements about both candidates, our poll showed that voters prefer Grace by a wide margin; 12% more support for Grace:

• Yoo – 46%
• Hutt – 34%
• Undecided – 20%
